According to journalists Ben Jacobs and Sacha Tavolieri, the Congo-born centre-back is said to have already reached an agreement with the French club, with a deal worth around €1.5m including bonuses expected to be finalised soon.

Makosso previously played for FC Sochaux and spent the second half of the 2025-26 season on loan at Oxford United, where he made six appearances, starting five, before losing his place in the side and not featuring after early March.
The five-cap Congo international is now set to return to France to revive his career under new Auxerre manager Will Still.
He could become AJA’s second summer signing, following Xiangxin Wei, with Arthur Piedfort also expected to arrive.
