The Bees finished in 16th place this term.

"We have had many contact injuries, and we have had 11 operations. Usually we have two or three, so it's crazy.

-"When you put all that together, it makes our performance and overall season far more impressive.

"Something we have done very well is that we have had almost no muscle or hamstring injuries. We are really good there, and you can see that our medical staff and our training sessions are still at a good level.

"It is more about the way we get players back and at what speed.

"But if you look at our xG for and against together with many other statistics, we have performed well into the top 10. These numbers compared to our current position are probably about a lack of quality, fine margins or maybe just coincidences in football.

"I still think we have had a good season. We could still have got more, even with the many injuries.

"When you look at a club of our size, we have to be satisfied with every season in the Premier League, and we must never ever forget that. We must never take that for granted."
