Alexander-Arnold admits Liverpool players impressed by Brighton boss De Zerbi

Trent Alexander-Arnold admits Liverpool's players are impressed by Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi.

De Zerbi has been linked with Liverpool as they prepare for manager Jurgen Klopp to step down at the end of the season.

Alexander-Arnold, before Liverpool defeated Brighton on Sunday, said: "They are well-drilled and know what they do, they believe in it and go and execute it."

The full-back continued: "They are confident in what they do and they don't really care where they are or who they are playing against. They will play the way they are told to play and I think they are a team that likes to play out from the back and take risks.

"When it comes off, as a player playing against them it is really difficult. I said it last season they were probably the toughest opponent we played against, just incredibly difficult to try and press them and they will pick you apart and outnumber you in the middle.

"You don't really know where to go and press them. I think obviously it is a little bit different for them in the way they have been playing, it's going to be a difficult game. The lads know that and I am sure we have got a game plan to try and stop them."
