Chemsdine Talbi has praised the unity of his Sunderland teammates after their hard-fought 1-1 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Nordi Mukiele opened the scoring, but Dan Ballard was later sent off for violent conduct following a VAR review.

Santiago Bueno equalised in the second half, yet the Black Cats showed resilience to hold on and secure a deserved point at Molineux.

"We started well but unfortunately we got the red card and we needed to deal with it. We did a great job,” Talbi told the club website.

"They scored but we did well to keep it at 1-1 so it is a good point.

"It's not easy to defend with ten men.

"The meaning of this game was to react from the Forest game. It's not easy to do that but we did and we will continue to do so in these final three games."
