Opta has now give Scotland little more than a 5% chance of making the last 32 which compared to a percentage in the 80% mark after their first win against Haiti, is devastating.
Scotland are on the brink of elimination from the World Cup following their 3-0 loss to Brazil and Ecuador’s 2-1 win over Germany which means they now rely on the weekend fixtures to stay in the competition.
From 12 groups only the best eight third placed finishers will progress meaning Scotland need four teams to finish third with fewer than three points or a worse goal difference than them (-3) to qualify.
Speaking on the campaign so far, Snodgrass revealed to talkSPORT BET Sportsbook that Scotland will be disappointed in themselves as they prepare to pack their bags.
“The reaction is disappointment. You're sitting there watching as a fan and hoping Scotland can get something from the game. I think the biggest thing everyone was talking about before the game was whether you go for it or work on goal difference.
“At the end of the tournament, they will probably look back and say they could have helped themselves more. I feel as if they have not given themselves a good chance to be in the game because those mistakes have cost them.
“I just feel as if it is all down to giving yourself a chance to win the game by staying in it. To be honest, you could see the reaction, it's really disappointing.
“He's (Clarke) probably just disappointed. He has a group of players that he loves and he probably just feels a bit let down by the performance. As I say, it is very unlike Scotland to make mistakes like that at such a vital time.”
