United States and Australia clash in Seattle in a match that could reveal who will finish in the top spot in Group D.
The Stars and Stripes secured a 4-1 victory over Paraguay in their opening game whilst the Socceroos recorded a 2-0 win against Turkey as both sides kicked off with a bang.
However, the bad news for the US is that star man Pulisic was taken off at half-time after picking up a knock which could mean he misses Friday’s game.
Speaking ahead of the game, Pochettino revealed that the forward is doing everything in his power to make sure he is ready to start the game which could send the US to the next round.
"He was training in an individual way the whole week but like always, I think tonight, the day before the game, we have a meeting with our medical staff and we will assess the whole group of players, and tomorrow we will communicate on what we agree on tonight.
"He's evolving. He's much better since Friday. I think at the moment, we'll see. If he is not available for tomorrow, he will be available for the next game, but I think he's making a massive effort, trying to be ready.
“I think, for every single player that loves their country, it is an amazing opportunity to enjoy and to help the team perform and to win games. When this type of thing happens, it is always painful, but I think Christian is strong with a great mentality. He's making a fantastic effort to try to get ready as soon as possible."
Pochettino is likely to name an unchanged starting 11 following the USA's opening win as Pulisic enters a race against time to make sure he is match fit to face an Australia side who are unbeaten under manager Tony Popovic so far.
