The England international spent last season on loan with Barcelona, picking up 14 goals and as many assists in 49 matches across all competitions to help Barca retain the La Liga title and lift the Spanish Super Cup.
Barcelona are looking to sign either West Ham winger Crysencio Summerville or Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi are they dodge a move for Rashford who they believe will not budge on his high wages.
As reported by The Sun, the Red Devils now want a decision to be made on Rashford’s future by pre-season training camp in Dublin which begins August 8th.
Rashford spoke on his future this month, revealing that no decision will be made until England’s World Cup campaign is over.
“I was very clear…. I wanted any move done before the World Cup.
“If it’s not, I wanted it to wait until after. I want to be fully present in the moment. We’re fighting for something special.”
Rashford has expressed his preference to leave United in the past, but after his move to Barcelona collapsed, reports state that manager Michael Carrick is open to reintegrating him back into the side.
United want a swift resolution to avoid distractions during their pre-season under Carrick but as England continue to impress at the World Cup, a decision may not come for weeks to come.
