After several fantastic performances for Morocco, Bouaddi has transformed from an exciting Ligue 1 prospect into one of the most discussed names of the summer as top clubs scramble to make a bid.
The 18 year old particularly impressed against Brazil and France, games where top scouts relayed back to the likes of Manchester City that the youngster has a very bright future.
Following the recent departure of Bernardo Silva, City boss Enzo Maresca is desperate for fresh talent and Bouaddi seems to be the player he and his scouting team have locked on to.
Now, as per transfer expert David Ornstein, City are discussing a bid that is one of the biggest of the summer transfer window.
“Man City pushing hard for Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille. High among 18yo’s suitors (#PSG not in contention) & while others favour season on loan at #LOSC, #MCFC would integrate now. Price ~€100m + Morocco int’l expected to make decision soon.”
City have already smashed their club record to sign Elliot Anderson for £116M from Nottingham Forest but Maresca clearly isn’t content as he builds a side that is worthy of competing for the title after finishing second behind Arsenal last season in what was a poor campaign.
