Norway striker Erling Haaland has reflected on the win over Brazil at the World Cup.

The Norwegians will now meet England in the Quarter Final on Saturday night after knocking out 5 time World Cup champions Brazil earlier this week, thanks to a Haaland brace.

Brazil suffered their earliest exit in a World Cup since 1990 in what was a heartbreaking exit for the South American side who could not stop Haaland from breaking down their lines.

The Manchester City striker headed home opener in the 79th minute, before sealing victory with a stunning low drive late on to seal Norway’s place in the next round.

Reflecting on the clash, Haaland revealed that he still cannot believe that he helped knock out Brazil in what was a historic moment celebrated with huge parties and fireworks back home.

"Brazil is a football nation. They are probably the first football nation you learn about because of all the legendary players who have played there. The shirt, the country, the passion, all the greats they've had. It’s a bit unreal to play against Brazil.

"It still seems unreal, like something so far-fetched. I never imagined this could happen, which makes the fact that we actually managed to beat Brazil even more surreal to me. It’s been incredible. I need to relax and get some sleep because I’m completely exhausted. This is amazing and breathtaking."

Brazil had just 33.5% of possession and only threatened from counter-attacks, showing Norway’s dominance as they aim to replicate such a performance against England in an attempt to book their place in the Semi Final against either Argentina or Switzerland
