Real Madrid star Endrick scored the winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Egypt as he prepares for the World Cup.

Brazil start their Group C campaign against Morocco on Saturday in New York before facing Haiti in Philadelphia on 19th June and Scotland on 24th June in Miami.

Ahead of the tournament, Brazil tested their metal against Egypt in what proved to be a tough game for manager Carlo Ancelotti.

However, the game was sealed when Endrick came on in the second half and pounced on a loose ball which he slammed home to win the game for the Selecao.

Speaking on the goal after he returned from an injury which many believed would rule him out of this summer’s competition.

"This feeling is something that can't be explained. I thank God so much for scoring another goal. These are the extraordinary things in my life. Thank God I was able to score the winning goal. I'm very happy because when I was injured, I couldn't come to the national team, and that's the worst thing for a Brazilian player.

“God willing, I never have to go through that feeling of being left out of the national team again because this is where I want to be, this is where I want to show my football. Always giving my life for my nation. I'm very grateful for this goal. I dedicate it to my wife and my little one who is in her belly."

“Ever since I was injured, I knew what I should do when I recovered. He continued. “Unfortunately, I didn't have time at Real Madrid, but God guided me to the right path I've taken in my career so far, which was to go to Lyon, to have fun, to have met other people, to have worked with that wonderful staff, and to have been able to play, to have been able to show what I can do.”

Ancelotti has already revealed he already has "a clear idea" of his starting XI but Endrick may not be giving him a selection headache as the Italian prepares his side for the first test against Morocco.
