DR Congo’s final World Cup warm-up match against Chile will be played behind closed doors due to concerns surrounding the Ebola outbreak in the central African nation.

The friendly is set for Tuesday in the French city of Orléans after being moved from Cadiz, Spain, where local authorities blocked the fixture as a precaution.

Although none of DR Congo’s players, who are all based abroad, have recently visited their homeland, some support staff and fans travelled from the country.

The Leopards have been preparing in Marbella following a 10-day training camp in Belgium, where they drew 0-0 with Denmark

DR Congo are making their first World Cup appearance since 1974, when they competed as Zaire.

They begin their Group K campaign against Portugal on June 17 before facing Colombia and Uzbekistan. The current Ebola outbreak is linked to the rare Bundibugyo strain, for which no approved vaccine exists.
