Parma this weekend face Cagliari away: both teams sit on one point and are seeking their first win of the season.
Cuesta, formerly of Arsenal, said: "It's a three-point game, as important as any other. All games are equally important. We're fully focused on being ready for this challenge.
"For me, the league season started against Juventus. Every match brings points. I'm always focused on preparing the team as best as possible and always being competitive when we're there. Tomorrow we'll try to be as competitive as possible to put in a great performance."
Cuesta also stated: "The process began weeks ago, but now we've all started together. Some players were missing due to international duty, but many were with us. We can expect a Parma similar to the one we've seen so far. We want to strengthen our strengths while also trying to improve areas where we can do better.
"It's a process: Rome isn't built in a day. We need time to sort things out and prioritize. Some aspects require more time than others. We'll see a Parma similar to what we saw against Juventus and Atalanta. As for Cagliari: I expect a very organized team with clear ideas.
"The team reflects (Fabio) Pisacane's values and style of play; I've had the opportunity to see them. A compact team, with a clear attacking vision, that maximizes verticality and the search for space. It will certainly be a difficult match, but we'll have to be good at creating the game we want to play."
