Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury in their 2-1 Serie A win over Cagliari on Saturday (November 29).

Juventus have confirmed that the 25-year-old has undergone a successful surgery to repair a tendon in the left adductor.

Vlahovic will start his rehabilitation program from Friday, 5 December and he will be out for the next 14 weeks, meaning Juve will be without him until March.

The striker had returned to the starting eleven under new manager Luciano Spalletti, starting nine of their last ten games across all competitions.

Juventus released an official statement, saying: “This afternoon (Thursday, 4 December) Dusan Vlahovic underwent surgical repair of a tendon avulsion of the left adductor. 

“The procedure was performed by a team led by Prof. Ernest Schilders and Rowena Johnson, and in the presence of Club doctor Marco Freschi, at Mayo Clinic Healthcare in London and the Wellington Hospital, and the operation was completely successful. 

“The player will begin his rehabilitation program from Friday, 5 December.”
