Lazio have now confirmed the central midfielder has joined the club, reportedly costing them a fee of €17 million, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Netherlands international has been a key player for Ajax since he broke into the first team, making 184 appearances and scoring 64 goals across all competitions.
