Chelsea are once again on the hunt for a new manager following Liam Rosenior’s disastrous spell in charge.

The likes of Andoni Iraola, Cesc Fabregas, and Marco Silva have all been linked with a move, but former Real Madrid boss Alonso, 44, appears to be Chelsea’s top target.
According to journalist Simon Phillips, Alonso is interested in taking over at Stamford Bridge following initial contact, but a ‘sticking point’ remains.
It’s understood that Alonso is demanding more control over squad building than Chelsea are currently offering.
