Aston Villa struggled to make any real impact against Brentford, losing thanks to a 12th minute goal from debutant and record signing Dango Ouattara.

The club have been hamstrung by PSR this transfer window due to Villa spending a massive 91% of their revenue on player wages.
Speaking after the defeat to Brentford, Emery urged the club to make new signings in the last few remaining days of the transfer window.
"We have to improve things," said Emery. "We have to clarify some circumstances we have in the transfer window.
"We have enough players, but we need to clarify some circumstances with some players staying or not or and the possibility we can have to add someone to help us."
