Tottenham interim manager Igor Tudor has sent a message to fans ahead of this weekend's clash with Arsenal.

Tudor has been put in charge of Tottenham until the end of the season after the club let go of former manager Thomas Frank.

With Spurs languishing in 16th in the Premier League table, with just seven wins from 26 league games, Tudor has his work cut out for him at a side who are close to being relegated.

The 47-year-old’s first assignment comes against fierce North London rivals Arsenal, and he has sent a message to fans who will be happy to hear he wants to push attacking football forward.

“Big week. This derby is a fantastic game to play. We want to play this game in a way that our fans will like, giving everything that we have, in the right way, brave… but in the same way intelligent and smart to achieve what we want, and that’s the victory.

“I like to be positive, I like to play offensive football. That is my first goal. I like to score goals, but in the same way for sure you need to give organisation to the defence.

“About winning or drawing, the truth is that I never saw a coach who said that he can play for a draw. It is not possible. Offensive football, yes, but smart. That’s the key.”

Tudor made a great impact at Lazio and Juventus and will hope to turn Tottenham around. However, with so many injuries and a lack of quality players in the side, it seems like an impossible job.
