On Friday, his former Brentford manager Frank was asked about the Cameroon international and said: "Bryan, of course, is a fantastic player. I have been with him for five years.
"I think he deserves the move, no matter where he goes. And as a player, I wish him all the best when you've been with a player for so long."
Mbeumo was due in Manchester today to undergo his medical ahead of a formal announcement from United.
