And Scott told BBC Radio Solent afterwards: “Obviously it was a tough game.
“They're a top team, a team in Europe and we knew it was going to be difficult coming here today, but if we're at our best, I think we definitely can be at a better level than what we did today.
“And it's two weeks in a row where we've not been at the races and not been good enough, which is concerning.
"But international break, get things right and a big game at home at West Ham when we come back. So it's a chance there to put things right.
“There was no rhythm to the game, a lot fouls and stoppages and stuff like that. So it was tough, but obviously, we weren't good enough."
