Los Blancos are expected to bring in a host of new faces this summer as part of Jose Mourinho's squad revamp in the Spanish capital and the money secured from Rodriguez's move to the Premier League will be added to his budget.
The 21-year-old scored seven LaLiga goals as part of his debut 2025/26 season at Elche, but reports from Marca claim Bournemouth have now reached a €25M deal to bring him to the Vitality Stadium - plus a further €5M in performance-related add-ons.
Rodriguez came through Real Madrid's youth ranks - and famously scored his one and only club goal in a 1-1 derby draw against Atletico Madrid in 2023 - before joining Getafe on loan for the 2024/25 campaign.
Real Madrid still own 50% of his rights, as per their sale agreement with Elche from last summer, and they are on course to land €12.5m up front from the Bournemouth sale with a possible €2.5M more in future.
The deal is the second time this summer where Real Madrid have benefitted from a sell-on clause relating to a former player, as they secured 50% of Victor Munoz's €40M sale from Osasuna to Liverpool, and a €60M outright fee to sell Nico Paz to Como - whilst still retaining a buyback option on the Argentina international.
