The 2-0 triumph at Anfield saw PSG win the quarterfinal 4-0 on aggregate.
But Enrique insisted afterwards: "It was an intense match between teams who play really good football. It's an honour to play at Anfield and the first half went more for us because we controlled the match and could create a few chances.
"In the second half, it was different: we suffered a lot, they pressed high and took a lot of risks.
"It was difficult but we beat their press twice and scored two goals. If you try to win these kinds of matches, you need to defend with high intensity. We showed everybody that we are ready to play on the ball but, when we don't have the ball, we can do it off the ball.
"Last season, everybody thought we could not win the Champions League because we are so young. Now everybody knows we are the champions, but we need to grow. That's our objective."
The Spaniard added: "We knew we were going to have counterattacks. Over the two matches, we deserved to qualify."
