Probert named new Liverpool loan manager

Probert leaves Ipswich Town to take up the role with the Premier League champions.

At Portman Road, Probert had served as director of football operations since 2021 – a role that involved oversight on the club’s recruitment, academy development, analysis, U21s and loans programme.

Before his spell at Portman Road, Probert was academy manager at Bristol City.

Probert replaces Matt Newberry, who has been promoted to director of global talent for the Reds.
