Wolves drew with Burnley on Saturday and will return to their Compton training base later this week.
Pereira said: "We are working, trying to pass the message to the players. We are working with a lot of young players, and it’s important that they understand what we ask them to do. Good training, intensity, of course a bit tired, but I'm happy with the work.
"Of course, the heat is a little bit higher than they are used to experiencing, but it is a very good chance to increase the level, to understand what we want in the first-team, and to be to be prepared.
“The pressing and the intensity of the exercise. I ask them to play with one touch and this is difficult. Sometimes they lose some confidence, but in the end, we have a conversation. I used to say you can do mistakes because it's time to do mistakes, it's time to correct them, it's time to improve.”
This marks a first preseason at Wolves for Pereira and he made it clear about his ambitions.
“The Premier League is where I want to be. The Premier League was my target for a long, long time. Now is the moment to enjoy it and the moment to compete and to prove myself, that I'm prepared to face the best coaches in Premier League.”
