Manchester City picked up their ninth League Cup trophy thanks to a 2-0 win over Arsenal on Sunday afternoon which destroyed the Gunners’ hopes of a quadruple this season.
Arsenal are in the FA Cup quarter-final against Southampton, are through to the Champions League Quarter Final and are still top of the Premier League.
Speaking to BOYLE Sports, who offer the latest football odds, Pallister said that their trophy hopes are not over and predicts the North London side will win the double.
"I think they're going to win the Premier League. The other teams are too inconsistent, and Arsenal are nine points clear now. I know Man City have a game in hand and still have to play Arsenal, so it could potentially get close.
"I'm not sure they can win the Champions League. FA Cup, yes. I think the Champions League might be the one that scuppers them. They have very good chances in the other competitions, certainly the FA Cup and League Cup. I just have a gut feeling they won't make it in the Champions League.
"It's been a tough few years for Arsenal. Everybody's talking about seeing all this stuff about the worst team that would have ever won the Premier League. I'm not quite so sure about that. They rely a lot on set pieces, but that's still a huge part of the game.”
In the Premier League they are nine points clear with seven matches remaining despite City having a game in hand. A treble is on the cards for Mikel Arteta but they must bounce back from their EFL Cup loss if they want to find success.
