Amorim's win percentage stands at just 27.3 per cent, lower than any other manager to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson, and after a loss to Brentford this weekend the pressure is growing on the Portuguese tactician.
Amorim suffered his 17th Premier League defeat out of 33 games in charge with the loss to The Bees and reports have flooded in over the last days as many try to predict who would replace him if he were to leave.
His 19th defeat from his 49th game as Man Utd boss leaves him as the joint-favourite to be the next Premier League manager to be sacked with many bookmakers. Odds also predict that Palace boss Glasner could be in line to take the job.
Glasner told the Austrian edition of Kicker that he sees these rumours and is relaxed despite the pressure that comes with such reports.
“I follow all the rumours – and that’s all there is – neutrally and completely relaxed. Focusing on the daily work with my players and coaches, and trying to enjoy it as much as possible.”
Alongside Glasner, Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola has also been linked with the United job as pressure mounts on Amorim. Palace have so far failed to tie down Glasner on a new contract, whilst Iraola’s deal also runs out in the summer of 2026 as United watch on and potentially prepare for new blood.
