Onana made 29 appearances for Trabzonspor last season after being loaned out by the Red Devils who grew tired of his constant mistakes between the sticks.
The Cameroonian ended the season by helping Trabzonspor lift the Turkish Cup for the first time since 2020 and impressed on a number of occasions for the Turkish side who are set to keep him ahead of the new campaign.
United are reportedly planning to bring in a new goalkeeper to support Senne Lammens, with backup Altay Bayindir set to move on over the next month.
The club have no plans to add Onana back into the side and his move back to Turkey looks certain as transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that the fee could reach around €1.5- €2M as per his YouTube channel.

Onana is set to become the fifth exit at this summer, following Rasmus Hojlund, Casemiro, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia through the Old Trafford doors as manager Michael Carrick clears out the deadwood in his side.
