The Hammers were good value for their 3-0 win at the City Ground.
Nuno later said, “We started the game having the ball but without urgency. It was requiring more speed, West Ham were organised, there weren’t many gaps and we didn’t produce enough.
“In the second half we asked for more, it was the other way around.
“We were not able to break through West Ham. We had some crosses but there wasn’t enough movement, mobility or urgency. It was a bad day and a bad performance.
“It was the opposite of what we wanted, we got complacent. I’m going to find the reason behind it, I’ll reflect on the game and see what has happened so it doesn’t happen again.
“We made mistakes and allowed West Ham to kill the game. At 1-0 we still had hopes to change the game but after the second we became disorganised and that is something we cannot afford to do.
“We have to shield the players and prepare them well now for the next game after the international break.”
