However, the former Brentford captain insists he is up for the challenge.
Norgaard told the club's website: "Of course, I'm realistic. I know this is a step up when we talk about quality and the club size. But I'm here too to contribute, otherwise I wouldn't have changed.
"But I also know that some of the best players in the world in my position play here, so it gets fierce competition.
"I've been able to be with the team since the first day of the preseason and it's helped me a lot. I am much longer in the process when it comes to being integrated into the style of play than I had been if I had come to now.
"It's so good a group and so good a staff, and the whole team around has made it all very easy."
