The 18 year old still trying to get up to full speed during his debut season in English football but many have been impressed by what they have seen so far from the teenager.
Chelsea emerged as 1-0 victors over Benfica this week in their Champions League clash which not only saw Mourinho blow kisses to the crowd but also praise Estevao who he thinks has a bright future.
"Estevao is a talent. People might think he would take a while to adapt due to his youth, immaturity, and the competition he faces at Chelsea, but he's here, playing at a higher level, and is a player with great potential."
Estevao was introduced in the second half against Benfica and completed 9/12 passes, had 1 shot on target and had 3/3 successful dribbles against the Portuguese giants in just 36 minutes.
The forward has already been given 326 minutes by Maresca, that game time spread across eight outings so far. The Brazilian star could feature once more this weekend as The Blues welcome league leaders Liverpool to Stamford Bridge. Manager Enzo Maresca will have been impressed with the teenager’s performance and could hand him a start on Saturday afternoon.
