Mo Salah Challenges UEFA Statement Following Death of 'Palestinian Pele'

According to the Palestine Football Association, Suleiman al-Obeid, 41, was killed in an Israeli strike in southern Gaza on Thursday while waiting for humanitarian aid.

‘‘During his long career, al-Obeid, scored more than 100 goals, making him one of the brightest stars of Palestinian football,” the statement said.

UEFA have since posted on social media paying tribute to al-Obeid, but refused to mention how, or why, he died.

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, who has been an advocate for the Palestinian people, has now called them out.

The Egypt international took to X, formally known as Twitter, to say: “Can you tell us how he died, where, and why?”
