Ratcliffe caused a stir last week when he made comments on immigration in the United Kingdom as his comments divided many fans on social media.
He said: "You can't have an economy with nine million people on benefits and huge levels of immigrants coming in.
“I mean, the UK has been colonised. It's costing too much money. The UK has been colonised by immigrants, really, hasn't it? I mean, the population of the UK was 58 million in 2020, now it's 70 million. That's 12 million people."
The billionaire apologized for what he said after backlash from the likes of Prime Minister Keir Starmer who condemned his comments immediately after they were released.
Ratcliffe stated: "I am sorry that my choice of language has offended some people in the UK and Europe and caused concern."
Carrick responds
Now, the FA have decided to not take action against Ratcliffe as reported by The Mirror and The Independent in a move that will cause even more controversy online.
United interim boss Michael Carrick was asked to respond to Ratcliffe’s comments in his press conference on Friday afternoon and stated:
“I think part of being at this club, we understand what it’s like globally and the responsibilities we have within this.
“I can only speak from my personal experiences of being here for a long time with various managers, with various staff ... different backgrounds and it’s something we’re fully aware of and I am. And I’m proud of what the club stands for and has done for so long really, and I’m really aware of that.”
