Manchester United’s leadership group reportedly held an intervention to address Alejandro Garnacho’s perceived selfish attitude before the winger’s exile and eventual transfer to Chelsea.

The 21-year-old was a member of Man United’s infamous ‘bomb squad’ before securing a move to Chelsea late in the summer transfer window.

Garnacho is yet to start for Enzo Maresca’s side since making the move and was an unused substitute in their 2-1 defeat to his former club on Saturday (September 20).

According to the Sun, things could have been very different should Man United’s leadership team succeeded with their ‘intervention.’

The report states that Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro, and Harry Maguire all confronted Garnacho over his selfish attitude.

The winger was unreceptive, however, and he was forced out of the club alongside the likes of Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Jadon Sancho.
