Kai has been promoted three age groups after impressing in the Super Cup NI, formerly the Milk Cup, in Northern Ireland last week.
Leading U16 United's attack, Rooney helped his team to the final where they were beaten by Southampton.
United have been drawn into Group A alongside Rapid Bucuresti, Juventus and Dinamo Zagreb – the defending champions.
