Man City are reportedly confident they'll be able to convince Josko Gvardiol to commit his future to the club despite interest from Real Madrid.

Several injury issues hampered the 24-year-old’s 2025-26 season for Man City, but he’s set to play a key role for Croatia at the World Cup.

Gvardiol has been linked with a move away from the Etihad this summer, with Real Madrid hoping to take advantage of the upheaval caused by Pep Guardiola’s exit.

According to Fabrizio Romano, despite what is expected to be an interesting summer for City, they’re ‘confident’ Gvardiol will sign a new deal with the club.

It’s understood that the new deal will keep him at Man City until 2031, and Gvardiol will be handed an improved salary.
