Guardiola has stated he wants to work with a smaller squad this season.
He said: "We still have a few players on the way out, but I think that's the same for many clubs. It's difficult because I love these guys, they love being here, and the situation isn't easy, but they're aware of it.
"We have a lot of players; tomorrow two will be out of the squad, and there will be four or five when the injured players return. It's not an ideal situation.
"There are so many games, more and more every season, and you need a squad that can compete in every single game. I don't know exactly how many will leave.
"We still have three weeks to go. It happens to many teams; they have large squads and have to sell players. Every manager wants to work with the right number of players, and you don't want to leave anyone out."
