Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola insists he's happy counting on goalkeeper James Trafford.

Trafford kept a clean sheet in last night's Carabao Cup win against Brentford. However, the summer arrival from Burnley has been linked with a move away in January given his lack of action so far this term.

Speaking after the 2-0 quarterfinal win, Guardiola said: "(Trafford) is a keeper. There can only be one or one. He cannot play left-back. In that moment if you have a keeper.

“Gigio (Donnarumma) is playing in that position, but he’s a top keeper there is no doubt about that.

“I’m a guy who wants to give opportunities to everyone. When we played Leverkusen. Look what happened.

“These players who didn’t play much played really, really well."
