According to The Telegraph, the former Liverpool midfielder is high on Man City’s shortlist to replace legendary manager Guardiola.
The report adds that there is a growing feeling within the club that 2025-26 will be Guardiola’s final season at the Etihad.
Enzo Maresca, who informed former club Cheslea that he had held talks with City twice this season, is also among the contenders.
Como’s Cesc Fabregas is the final of the three.
