Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has been revealed to have hamstring problems heading into the Manchester United clash this Sunday.

Gravenberch was replaced at half-time as the Netherlands cruised to a 4-0 win over Finland on Sunday night to remain top of their qualifying group as they make their way towards the World Cup next year.

However, Dutch manager Ronald Koeman revealed post-match that the 23-year-old had hamstring complaints, meaning he may miss the clash at Anfield this weekend.

“Ryan indicated he had some minor hamstring problems. Of course, we didn't take any risks with that.”

Gravenberch did reveal however that his concern was just precautionary, as he hopes to maintain fitness in what is a very busy football calendar.

“It had a bit to do with fitness. The season is long, so it was precautionary,” he said to VoetbalPrimeur

“I feel good about myself and I have the confidence of the trainer.”

The Reds are already without Alisson Becker, Wataru Endo and Giovanni Leoni. Losing Gravenberch could be too much to take for manager Arne Slot who is aiming to end his 3 game losing streak as The Reds chase down the title once more.
