Manchester United's injury problems are not getting any better as manager Ruben Amorim finds the best balance for his side.

United face fierce rivals Liverpool this weekend, who are looking to break their losing streak after losses to Galatasaray, Crystal Palace and Chelsea. The Red Devils could have a huge boost however as Noussair Mazraoui may return.

As reported by The Standard, the wing-back could fit to be involved against Liverpool if he has experienced no further setbacks after picking up an unspecified knock which has left him with just 3 appearances so far this season.

If he does return then it would hand Amorim more flexibility with his side who, despite not having European football, are in need of rotation after a mixed start to the campaign.

One player who won’t be returning this weekend however is Lisandro Martinez who underwent surgery on a torn anterior cruciate ligament suffered against Crystal Palace back in February.

As reported by The Standard, he could return this month but is more likely to be back on the pitch in November despite returning to the grass last month. The idea is that Amorim does not want to rush the Argentine, with fears that his injury could grow worse if thrown back in the action too soon.
