The 33-year-old was the main man for Liverpool last season as they secured the Premier League title ahead of Arsenal, scoring 29 goals and providing 18 assists in his 38 league games.
Unsurprisingly, Salah scored in their first game of the season in their 4-2 win over Bournemouth on Friday (August 15).
Despite their strong start to the season and busy summer transfer window, Salah doesn’t believe Liverpool should be considered favourites to retain their title.
Speaking to the press while attending the PFA Awards at the Manchester Opera House on Tuesday evening, Salah said Arsenal are the team to beat.
"I think you have a great team this season," he said of Arsenal, before adding: "So, you have really good chance. I think you are the favourite now... been together for five years."
Salah concluded: "Hopefully we do it again."
