The Brazil striker arrived earlier this summer from Botafogo.
From Forest's Portugal preseason camp, Igor Jesus told the club's website: "I think I’m settling well. The players have made me very welcome. I feel at home already after just a few days' work. Now it’s time to perfect things and regain momentum. I’m happy with this new opportunity and I hope to prepare as much as possible for the upcoming season.
“It’s a time for us all to get to know each other. We create bonds that allow us to have a great season. I think this makes all the difference for a football team.
“I want to play as soon as possible of course, but for this to happen I have to be very well prepared and understand a bit about the coach’s methods so I can perfect my game and integrate with the team. I want to be available as soon as possible to do my best and help the team.
“I think it’s the dream for all Brazilian players to be here playing at a high level at a club like Nottingham Forest with so many high-quality players in a team that has been growing in the league. That’s what attracted me and I’m willing to do my best for this Club.
“A lot of work has started, and this means that I’ll prepare very well and put in great performances in the competition. I’m aiming to get better and better, to have a great season and bring joy to all the fans, coaching staff by doing what I love which is to score goals and being happy here at the Club.
“I was pleased to be able to witness the energy of the fans (at the Monaco match). I think it will really help us, these are people that give us real heartfelt support and get behind us. I’m certain this will make me prepare as much as possible to make them very happy.”
