Speculation is mounting that Guardiola, 55, is likely to leave Man City this summer, ending his ten-year spell at the club.
Several reports have suggested that former Chelsea manager Maresca, 46, is City’s preferred option to take over should the legendary Spaniard call time.
Maresca has now opened up his future, saying: “I’m feeling ready for next chapter, that’s the most important thing. Man City job? What matters, apart from clubs, is to be ready”.
“There still fee weeks before the season ends and then we will see what happens”.
It was reported that one of the main reasons Maresca left Chelsea was because he had held talks with City about taking over.
