Hertha Berlin sensation Kennet Eichhorn has reportedly turned down a move to Premier League Liverpool in favour of remaining in Germany.

The 16-year-old is one of Europe’s most wanted young stars after a breakout season at Hertha Berlin, in which he made 19 appearances, popping up with two goals.

It’s been reported that Eichhorn has a €12 million release clause in his Hertha contract and is likely to move on to bigger things this summer.

According to Sky Sport Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, that move won’t be to Anfield despite Liverpool’s efforts to charm him.

Eichhorn is instead looking to remain in Germany with Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig hopeful of getting a deal done.

Liverpool’s offer was higher than the others, but he wouldn’t be able to complete his move until he turns 18 due to registration rules.
