Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has ruled out James Trafford leaving this month.

Trafford featured in the FA Cup win against Exeter, but has had limited opportunities since his return from Burnley over the summer after the arrival of Gigio Donnarumma just weeks later.

However, while knowing his young goalkeeper is frustrated, Guardiola says he doesn't want to lose Trafford over the coming weeks.

"I would like him to stay for many, many years here because he has the attributes to play for a top club like us," Guardiola said.

"James is a top keeper and there's no doubt about that but the situation of the keepers is special, is different. We'll see what happens at the end of the season."
