Coote was sacked by referees' body the PGMOL in December 2024 following an investigation into a video allegedly showing him making derogatory comments about Liverpool and their former boss Jurgen Klopp.

Now, he has been charged that on January 2nd, 2020, he made one indecent video of a child of category A which is the most serious category as reported by Sky News.
The 43-year-old is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates Court on Thursday, September 11th and is currently on conditional bail.
The BBC report that the force added the charge of making an indecent photograph related to acts such as downloading, sharing and saving material.
