Candido was part of Amorim's backroom team at United over the 14 months the latter was manager.
Speaking with A Bola, Candido reflected: "Experience is always experience, whether the balance is good or bad, we always leave with learning. In Manchester I really liked the city and the way the fans live football, more focused on the project than the immediate result.
"What I liked least was undoubtedly feeling that our ideas were not applied in their entirety."
On the pressure at Old Trafford, Candido insisted: "I think the fact that we are young has helped us to cope with the pressure, we have always had a positive day-to-day at work. With the pressure that exists it is normal for people to be more upset than usual in a technical team, and that was not our case."
Asked if the dismissal will hurt Amorim's reputation and career, Candido was confident things would turn around for both himself and the former Sporting CP coach.
He added, "Only the future will tell if the experience was bad for our career or not.
"Right now I'm enjoying free time with my family without thinking too much about the future, but I know that when my cell phone rings, Ruben will talk to me."
