Arsenal are close to signing Leicester City teenager Jeremy Monga as they come close to their first summer move.

As per talkSPORT and The Standard, the Premier League champions are in extended talks with Leicester City’s highly-rated teenager Monga,  who is set for a move to North London.

The 16 year old is an incredible talent and has already made seven appearances in the Premier League, representing the Foxes 27 times in the Championship last term.

Following Leicester's disappointing relegation to League One after finishing 23rd in the Championship table with just 46 points, Monga will be keen to switch clubs before the new campaign begins.

Leicester are understood to be holding out for a transfer fee between £10M and £15M as The Metro, a figure Arsenal are said to be negotiating on.

A fee would come when he turns 17 on July 10th which will allow the Foxes to receive money for his sale, money that Leicester desperately need as they aim to fight their way out of League One.

Arsenal are also showing an interest in Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers and Bournemouth's Junior Eli Kroupi as they build a side that is worthy of defending their Premier League title.

Monga is the first step in Arteta’s plan and as interest grows from Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig, as well as Serie A outfit Roma, he will have to move quick.
