Everton boss David Moyes is unimpressed by the sack culture engulfing the Premier League.

Ahead of tonight's clash with Manchester United, Moyes commented on last week's dismissal of Sean Dyche by Nottingham Forest. The decision came just days after Tottenham removed Thomas Frank.

Moyes said, “I still think that the clubs who have stuck by their managers and given them longevity, they are the ones who get more success, and it means that they are more stable football clubs as well.”

At Finch Farm on Friday, Moyes also discussed the pressure on Oliver Glasner at Crystal Palace: “I watched a little bit of Crystal Palace and the disappointment last night they had of drawing 1-1 away from home in a playoff game (against Polish side Jagiellonia Białystok in the Europa Conference League) - they have just been FA Cup winners and there is supposedly criticism with the manager, I find it incredible.

“I understand that maybe it's because of other things - he's not going to stay at the end of the season - but I think we're seeing it with several managers at the moment.

“Even Dyche. Dyche had a pretty good record with Nottingham Forest so I think there is a world out there which wants things to change very quickly. I think maybe the people who choose to go into the business of being a coach or a manager, I think you may have to accept it. You know your tenure might not be that long.”

He also said: “There's also a lot of managers who stay in the job. I'm one of them who's staying in the job and you keep going and you're there and you're trying to do it every year and you're trying to win a cup or you're trying to finish in Europe.

“If that's success, when so many nowadays are getting dropped so quickly - it might be a little bit of a success for the managers who actually have longevity in the leagues as well.”
