Caicedo has gone on to become Chelsea’s most expensive signing in the club’s history, joining for a reported £115 million two years ago.

He still has six years to go with an option for a further 12 -months on his current Chelsea contract, but he’s already thinking about his future.

Caicedo told Radio Ritmo 98.5 (via Sport Witness): "The future, nobody knows. If the opportunity is given and if God allows, I will return to my country, but if the opportunity arises to be in Liga (De Quito), I will do it without any problem."
