Sterling, 31, is one of two remaining members of Chelsea’s summer ‘bomb squad’ alongside defender Axel Disasi.
It’s understood that the winger had several offers to leave the club last year but turned them down as his family is settled in London.
Still, Chelsea are keen on offloading Sterling due to his massive £325,000 per week contract at the club which isn’t set to expire until July 2027.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Sterling is now expected to leave Chelsea in a matter of days following discussions with the club’s higher-ups.
It remains to be seen where Sterling will end up, however, as the winger weighs his options before transfer deadline day (February 2).
